This pretty little pan cooks well. When I baked apples with it, I didn't even grease the pan. I was pleasantly surprised that it cleaned up better than some "nonstick" pans that I've used! It's shiny as ever even after a few rounds in the dishwasher. The bottom isn't quite flat, which I believe is to minimize crowning while baking cakes (which I haven't done yet). Hopefully, Norpro will make this pan in different sizes for wedding cakes.

I have never written a review on Amazon - but as a public service, and a loving gesture to my fellow humans, I HAD to warn you do NOT attempt the Butterfinger Cake recipe that comes on the label of this pan! That being said - the PAN is great!

I recently purchased a toaster oven large enough to bake a 12" pizza so I was looking for pans to heat up other food like chicken or stuffed bell peppers, for instance, that I don't want to put directly on the broiler pan. If I heat something with plenty of moisture in it I feel safe using my Pyrex dishes, but for dry items I needed a container I don't have to worry about cracking in the heat. I bought the 8-inch stainless steel cake pan and the pie tin. They are both a perfect size for the oven.
My first impression was that they are very sturdy and heavier than I had expected (a good thing).
I've had them a couple of weeks now and am very happy with my purchase. As soon as they have cooled down I rinse them out, then put them in the dishwasher. If more stubborn food gets stuck on them, I sprinkle a little Comet on the wet pans (just as I do with my other stainless steel cooking pots and pans) and let them sit for a while. So far they still look like new. These pans are excellent value for the price.
